Young Brothers Ltd. reported a 2.1 percent drop in cargo shipments between Honolulu and Hawaii's Neighbor Islands during 2014's third quarter. Young Brothers Limited said that its intrastate cargo shipping between Honolulu and the Neighbor Islands fell 2.1 percent during the third quarter of 2014, a number that suggests softening in some Neighbor Island economies, its vice president said.

Some University of Hawaii officials fear the school's athletics program will be hit with the most severe NCAA infractions when the UH receives a formal Notice of Allegations from the association concerning its men's basketball program.
