Virginia school systems have seen suspension rates level off after years of declines, according to a recent report from JustChildren based in Charlottesville. JustChildren researches school suspensions and expulsions and their effects on children later entering the justice system as youths or adults.

Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney Jim Plowman, who is seeking the names of all felons eligible to have their rights restored, to review them if they are called for jury duty. When Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe issued an executive order last month restoring the voting rights of more than 200,000 ex-felons, he also enabled them to begin serving on juries again.
