The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says it has made one of the biggest drug busts in county history. The sheriff said Wednesday that a 3-month investigation culminated in the seizure of more than 2.5 pounds of powder cocaine, a 1-kilo brick of cocaine, 5 ounces of crack cocaine, 1.5 ounces of heroin, 6 pounds of marijuana, 5 ounces of PCP, 429 ecstasy pills, prescription pills, and $60,000 in cash.

Two men were arrested early Tuesday at a Sterling hotel after a felony drug investigation that led to one of the largest seizures of narcotics and cash ever made in Loudoun County, the county sheriff announced. Police are moving forward with the case involving the death of a 10-month-old baby girl in Leesburg on Oct. 6. The Virginia Department of Transportation is no longer seeking federal funds for the 10-mile highway that would link travelers on Interstate 95 in Dumfries to I-66, and ultimately to Dulles Airport in Loudoun County. The project must now undergo a statewide review process mandated by House Bill 2, also known as the "HB2" process , where highway projects that are not fully funded funnel through a state review process.
